Amending our Bill of Rights |
In light of present world dangers, the Fourth Amendment should be amended as follows: (Additions are underlined, deletions are bracketed)
Amendment IV Except in a state of actual war or threat of war, the right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon [probable] reasonable cause, supported by oath of affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.. |
Yes, the government shouldn't be hampered in time of war. I support this revision. |
